Barbara Galarza

Barbara is a Certified Yoga Teacher (CYT) and a Registered Yoga Teacher (RYT) at the 500 hours level with the nationally recognized Yoga Alliance. She also holds certifications in Restorative Yoga and Pre-Natal Yoga. She has taught in various local studios in Bradford, Haverhill, Newburyport and Georgetown, MA. As a licensed Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) she feels her professional knowledge enhances her understanding of the anatomy of yoga and teaches a compassionate style of Hatha Yoga with an emphasis on proper body alignment to promote a safe and beneficial practice. Recently she completed her certification as a Nutrition Specialist, (NS) and enjoys teaching and writing about health issues and the positive impact of yoga. “My goal is to make every yoga class benefit each student on an individual basis no matter what level of skill or knowledge they possess.”

    This new 4-week series will teach you how to:

    * Improve posture
    * Stretch & stop pain before it stops you!

    Series runs on Monday evenings 6:45 - 8pm, October 23 - November 13

    $60 for entire series

    No prior yoga experience required

  • This class welcomes all ability levels with a focus on stretching, building strength, & balance. Come and awaken the energy in your body to feel rejuvenated and healthy.

  • Yoga Basics
  • This Yoga Basics class will be good for beginners as well as anyone looking to review the basics of your yoga practice. When we take time to break down poses and transitions we often find new perspective and enlightenment. Practice proper alignment in a relaxed, non-competitive setting. This class will help you learn yogic fundamentals and develop a solid yoga foundation.

    Looking to nourish the tired and overworked body after a long holiday weekend? Come join Barbara for a nurturing, restorative practice that is sure to awaken an overall sense of peace, calm & joy in body, mind & soul, getting you ready for the next round. This rejuvenating event will incorporate deep stretching, long relaxing holds, essential oils, pranayama breath work, meditation, along with deepening assists.
    No yoga experience required. All ages and abilities welcome. Mats and props available here, or bring your own.

  • This yoga class looks to add strength building using light weights. Yoga Tone will increase your body strength and muscle tone while building yoga poses.
