Jennifer Freeman

Jennifer is the owner of Pause Yoga. She feels strongly that yoga should be accessible to all people. This feeling is manifested in her lessons as she encourages modification of postures to each individual’s ability. She guides her students to open their bodies as well as their minds and hearts, while encouraging healthy alignment and flowing breath. Her classes always feature lots of stretching & strength while keeping the energy light. Jennifer teaches a blend of Hatha yoga inspired by Vinyasa flow, Anusara, Gentle and Senior training. Her joyful spirit, kind heart & love for teaching will inspire your practice. She trained at Peachtree Yoga Center in Sandy Springs, GA, as well as certification in Gentle Senior Yoga from Yoga Vista Academy. Jennifer is a certified and Registered Yoga Teacher with the Yoga Alliance at the 200 hour level.

  • Introduction to Yoga Series
  • This four-week series is designed for those who are brand new to yoga and want to start right at the beginning. The series will introduce the fundamentals of alignment, breathing and mindfulness in foundational yoga postures and will lay the basic groundwork for students to then step into other classes offered at our studio.
    No previous yoga experience is needed.
    This series will include time for discussion and questions. Bring your own mat or borrow one of ours. Wear comfortable clothing & be prepared to be barefoot.
    Series registrants will also enjoy unlimited attendance to our other ongoing studio classes during this four-week period. 
    $120 for entire series including 30 days unlimited yoga classes from September 26th to October 23rd

  • Morning Flow
  • Wake up the body with this bright, flowing class. Energize and stretch out for ease of movement in your day ahead. 

  • All-Levels Yoga
  • This class welcomes all ability levels with a focus on stretching, building strength, & balance. Come and awaken the energy in your body to feel rejuvenated and healthy.

  • Gentle Yoga
  • Designed to be easy on joints and accessible to those needing a slower pace. This class is open to all with limited mobility or compromised physical needs. Also a great place to start if you are a beginner.

  • Gentle Senior Yoga
  • Designed for those with limited mobility to increase strength, balance and peace of mind. All props available including chairs, blocks, cushions and blankets.

  • Yoga Tone
  • This yoga class looks to add strength building using light weights. Yoga Tone will increase your body strength and muscle tone while building yoga poses.

  • Final Friday Happy Hour Yoga Social
  • Ready for Yoga and Beer? Join Jennifer on the last Friday of the month at 6:00pm for a fun-filled yoga class and funky playlist followed by social time at Silvaticus, a new brewery on Water Street. 
    Use your membership or class card, or drop-in for $15; social time is optional.
